1. Take a cab or limousine to the office on the day of surgery. Don’t drive yourself.

2. The AYS transportation service (aysj@earthlink.net) offers complete service from airport to hotel and office for surgery and post-op visit. It is a high quality excellent service. They are very familiar with our routine.

3. Bring insurance prescription cards. We will call in medications at Walgreens or pharmacy of your choice for pick-up by cab or limousine post-surgery on your way back to your hotel.

4. We will give extra wound care supplies so that you don’t need to provide these on your own.

5. Obtain snacks, food and drinks ahead of time to keep in your room. Several restaurants will deliver and many restaurants are close to the hotels.

6. Dr. Gatewood will be happy to call your wife or significant other immediately post-op to let her know all is well.
